Radon Testing in Well Water
Radon in well water, in high concentrations, can add to the risk of lung cancer. Cedar Hill can test your well water using approved technique.
How Radon Enters Your Home
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that typically dissipates into the atmosphere. It can, however, become trapped in your home, especially if your home is energy efficient and relatively air tight. Any home can have elevated levels of radon, slab-on-grade, crawlspace or basement foundations.
The EPA recommends that you have your home tested as part of a real estate transaction, or when you complete major renovations or weatherization. It is recommended to perform a follow up test every 5 years if you do not have mitigation and every 2 years if you have a mitigation system. Cedar Hill Services performs a complimentary visual check of mitigation systems during a follow-up radon tests.
